It is obvious that DJ's,
promoters, A&R, and varying other forms of talent scouting are, as a class,
parasitic. They are, lamentably few exceptions, neither
creative nor productive. They have, however, manipulated the creation and talent
of others to provide themselves with reputations of arbiters of good taste.
There is no reason whatsoever why they have any better judgement than anyone else. In most cases, they abuse this
power in the knowledge that they, to the artist, are the decider of their
talents and merit. It is this behaviour and attitude
that will, in time, be the downfall of the music (and artistic) industry as an
appreciation of true talent and expression.
Paraphrased from the wise words of John Peel RIP 1939 - 2005.

My name is Stepan and you
can buy my tunes on
1, and
2.
I thought that a list of
indie musicians, individuals or bands, and
relevant organizations listed under the above name would be a good idea.
To my pleasant
surprise the above names were free, so I snapped them up!
All you need
to do to be here is ask me, and then to put a little
cross link to all or one of the above links somewhere on your home page.
The more who
join in, the higher they go,
the more exposure all on this page get.
That’s the
theory anyway. No harm trying, and no cost!
So, here are
the links so far. Please pass this idea on to any other relevant people you
know.
I am also on
www.the-ukrainian.com, www.myspace.com/ukrainians,
http://www.ukrainians.co.uk/ and http://www.the-ukrainian.co.uk/.
Should you go
on this page? My definition of “indie” is approach, not
a genre. Now you decide.
