Song for Yuriy Song about Yuriy Shukhevych's suffering in defence of his fathers struggle for Ukraine's independence, from CD "Ludwigs Eclectic Collection." It was written by me and Ukrainian friend from Wolverhampton, England, Myroslav Stebivka. "Stebs". I had the honour of singing this to our very own "Nelson Mandela" when he was guest of honour at London's Ukrainian community centre.

Rasputin: The X FileThis track was a Ukrainians reject. When we were recording Vorony, up in Castleford near Leeds, I wrote some Ukrainian lyrics for a cover of the famous 70's Boney M hit Ra Ra Rasputin, but we ended up not using it. So I rewrote the lyrics, stored it for another day, and I'm pretty pleased with the result, as like with Chykannya, the Venus in Furs cover we did on Vorony, there are a few good angles to this song. Here is the English translation of the new lyrics:
Please bear in mind that this is a translation from perfectly rhyming Ukrainain verse so its bound not to flow as well in English. In fact getting it this close was an achievement in itself!

Danny Boy Danny Boy, an Irish Classic done in a way you probably have not heard before. Well, being half Irish, I couldn't not do this one. It seems fitting that as this song is about having to leave home and go out into the big wide world, a "World music" interpretation does it justice. Although I still have a lot to learn, I'd like to think that my time with the Bulava Ukrainian Choir has has taught me something since the days I bellowed like a fog horn with "The Ukrainians"! Thank you Mr Hunka, Bulava Choir & Co.
